 Our Christmas shop is in an old country general store.
The store was built in the 1930s. It has been known for
many years as the Parkway Junction. Being located in
sight (within 100 yards) of the Blue Ridge Parkway and
Highway 221 in Linville Falls, NC, we have been visited
by travelers from all over the world. The store still
has its original pine floors, built-in shelves, old
counter, and that unique smell that old country stores
always had. We can not bear to make any major changes to
the old store. We just figured the Christmas shop would
add to the charm of the old store and once again its
doors will be open to welcome visitors.
We will offer fresh, handmade wreaths, garland, and
greenery – with a few specialty items such as table
center pieces, mantel pieces, kissing balls and more. We
will also offer mountain crafted, handmade ornaments,
gifts and wonderful Christmas keepsakes.
The shop will also have coffee, hot chocolate, baked
goods and other refreshments.
We will have a few fresh cut Fraser Fir Christmas trees
at our shop. Thousands more are available at our choose
and cut farm, ½ mile from our shop on Davenport Road
(beside the shop).
Please come and visit with us. We genuinely look forward
to seeing old friends and guests, as well as meeting new
ones. Don’t forget to bring some warm coats with you.
The beautiful mountains can have some chilly surprises.
